    Dr. Sanderson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1997 and received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in 2002.  Following a one-year internship at Hennepin County Medical Center, he completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota where he was the recipient of many awards for demonstrating exceptional research, clinical skills, compassion, aptitude and knowledge.

    As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Sanderson treats a wide variety of eye problems. He has a special interest in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma and medical problems of the retina including diabetes and macular degeneration. He performs refractive cataract surgery and brings to our practice the subspecialty of oculoplastic surgery, treating functional and cosmetic eyelid problems.

    Dr. Sanderson is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology. He is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology.

    Dr. Sanderson resides in Edina with his wife and two boys. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and traveling. He leads a very active lifestyle and loves playing sports of all kinds, particularly golf, hockey and tennis.
